Polish Festival in Slough
At extremely short notice, the Polish Community asked CSS to provide sound for their annual Polish Day, held at Stoke Poges Sports Club on Sunday 17th July.
Set on John Saunders’ trailable stage at the edge of one of the many games pitches, the day comprised a vast range of performances from one-man bands through accordion-accompanied dance troupes to the MM Polanie band, an imaginative mix of keyboards, guitar, sax and vocals, all expecting 5 minute changeovers, most of which we are happy to report were achieved.
The MSL-4s and 650-Ps did the business at the sharp end, whilst Keith Farquharson supplied the busy fingers on the Crest board.
The crew was joined on this occasion by James Rogers, doing works experience, and he soon learned that the glamour of the entertainment industry wasn’t always in much evidence, though did much to make the event go off the way it did. Thanks to James.
